The programme has been informed by insights from local MPs, educators, NGOs, and regional experts, ensuring it remains relevant, credible, and well supported. 

Yes. The programme aligns strongly with national curriculum goals, current biodiversity priorities, and broader education policy directions. 

The Programme strongly aligns with the Science and Social Sciences curriculum for Years 7–8, with clear pathways into Year 9–10 learning. 

No, the programme is not formally government endorsed. However, it has been shaped with input from a wide range of credible contributors. 

Absolutely. The programme is shaped by te ao Māori values and supports understanding of kaitiakitanga. 

Each student gets a dedicated workbook for every workshop, filled with activities, challenges, and learning tools. 

Teachers receive their own workbook for each workshop, including guidance, background information, and classroom support materials. 

Students take part in hands-on experiments, real-world problemsolving, and collaborative challenges across all workshops. 

Yes. The programme includes a dedicated online learning hub for extra activities, videos, and extension learning. 

Yes. All Programme educators are police vetted to ensure a safe learning environment. 

After seeing the programme in its early stages and the enthusiasm of the students, I’m looking forward to attending the workshops this year to see how it has developed even further
